Conference on Modular Forms and Related Topics

Conference on modular forms and related topics has two objectives. The First is to introduce the local community to the recent significant developments in the theory of modular forms and related topics. The second objective is to encourage young Lebanese mathematicians to pursue their graduate studies in this area that has different applications in different mathematical sciences.

This conference is being held under the auspices of the Atiyah Distinguished Visitors Program. A generous gift from the Simons Foundation created the Michael Atiyah Chair in Mathematical Sciences and the Atiyah Distinguished Visitors Program to provide an outstanding intellectual scholarship in the Middle East and to stimulate the flow of visiting mathematicians to AUB. The chair is named in honour of Sir Michael Atiyah, a strong supporter of AUB's Center for Advanced Mathematical Sciences (CAMS) and one of the greatest living mathematicians of the 20th century.
